How to install IPTV on a smart TV
How to install IPTV on any smart TV: Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL, Hisense, Vizio, Philips and more. Find your TV system and follow the right method.

Quick answer
Find out which system your TV runs. Google TV, Android TV and Fire TV sets install IPTV players directly; Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) have their own IPTV apps; Roku and Vizio need a streaming stick. Then enter your Xtream Codes login or M3U link.
On this page
"Smart TV" covers half a dozen systems. The method depends on the system, not the brand on the front.
Method by system
| System | Brands | How |
|---|---|---|
| Google TV / Android TV | Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips | how to install IPTV on Google TV |
| Fire TV | Insignia, Toshiba, some Hisense | IPTV Trends Firestick guide |
| Tizen | Samsung | best IPTV app for Samsung TV |
| webOS | LG | best IPTV app for LG TV |
| VIDAA | Hisense | IPTV on Hisense TV |
| Roku TV, SmartCast | TCL, Hisense, Vizio | Add a stick: how to install IPTV on Vizio TV |
The general steps
- Open the TV's app store and search for an IPTV player.
- Install it and open it.
- Enter your Xtream Codes login or M3U link.
- If the app asks for a device activation, follow its on-screen instructions.
Every app on this page asks for the same thing: either an Xtream Codes login (server address, username, password) or an M3U playlist link. IPTV Trends sends both as soon as your payment clears. If an app offers both, use the Xtream Codes login: it loads the channel groups and the TV guide together. See M3U vs Xtream Codes.
When a stick is better
Older smart TVs often stop receiving app updates. If the TV is slow or its apps are outdated, a stick in the HDMI port gives a faster, current experience.
