How to set up IPTV Trends on any device
Setting up IPTV Trends takes three steps on every device: install a supported IPTV player app, enter the access details issued with your subscription, and let the app load the channel list. Most people are watching in under ten minutes.
Below you will find the quick version, then a full walkthrough for Smart TVs, Firestick, Android, iOS, MAG boxes and Enigma2 receivers, followed by fixes for the problems that come up most.
Quick start
The same four steps apply whatever you are installing on.
Install a player app
IPTV Smarters, TiviMate or Smart IPTV, depending on the device. The app section below says which one suits which hardware.
Pick your login type
Either a playlist link, which is a single web address, or an Xtream Codes login made of a server address, a username and a password.
Enter your details
Type them exactly as issued. Watch for stray spaces when pasting. Capital letters matter.
Load the list and watch
Save the profile. The app downloads the channel list and the programme guide on its own. First load can take a minute.
Which app should you use?
Pick one that matches your device. You only need a single app.
IPTV Smarters Pro
The safest all round choice. Takes both playlist links and Xtream Codes logins, and runs on nearly everything.
AndroidiOSFire TVSmart TV
TiviMate
The best guide and the best remote control experience on a television. Android TV and Fire TV only.
Android TVFire TV
Smart IPTV
Built for Samsung Tizen and LG webOS sets. You upload the playlist from a browser rather than typing on the TV.
SamsungLG
GSE Smart IPTV
Flexible playlist and guide handling on phones and tablets. A good fallback when another app will not load a list.

Samsung and LG Smart TVs
- Open the app store on your TV. On Samsung it is the Apps tile, on LG it is the LG Content Store.
- Search for Smart IPTV or IPTV Smarters and install it.
- Open the app and write down the MAC address it shows on screen. Some apps show a device key instead.
- On a phone or a computer, go to the app's own upload page and enter that MAC address plus your playlist link.
- Back on the TV, close the app fully and reopen it. The channel list loads.
- If your TV supports it, turn on the programme guide in the app settings.
Older Samsung and LG sets can be slow to load a large list. Give the first load a full minute before assuming it has failed.
Amazon Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Cube
- From the Fire TV home screen, open Find, then Search, and type the name of the player app you want.
- Install IPTV Smarters Pro, or install TiviMate if you prefer its guide layout.
- Open the app and choose to add a new user or a new playlist.
- Pick Xtream Codes login and enter the server address, username and password exactly as issued.
- Save. The app pulls in the channel list and the guide.
- In app settings, raise the buffer to around ten seconds if you are on Wi-Fi.
A first generation Fire TV Stick will struggle with large lists and 4K streams. A Stick 4K or a Cube handles them comfortably.
Android phones, tablets, boxes and Android TV
- Open Google Play and install IPTV Smarters Pro, or TiviMate if you are on Android TV.
- Open the app and choose to add a playlist or a new user.
- Select either playlist link or Xtream Codes login, whichever matches the details you were issued.
- Enter the details and give the profile a name you will recognise.
- Save and wait for the channel list to download.
- In settings, turn on hardware decoding for smoother playback on lower powered boxes.
On Android TV boxes, a wired Ethernet connection makes a bigger difference than any app setting.
iPhone, iPad and Apple TV
- Open the App Store and install IPTV Smarters Pro or GSE Smart IPTV.
- Open the app and add a new playlist or a new user.
- Choose Xtream Codes login where offered, since it handles the guide better on iOS.
- Enter your server address, username and password.
- Save and let the list load.
- On Apple TV, install the same app from the tvOS App Store and repeat these steps.
iOS keyboards like to capitalise the first letter. Turn off auto capitalisation before typing a username.
MAG boxes and STB emulators
- Send us the MAC address printed on the base of the box, or shown in the box's system information screen.
- Wait for confirmation that the address has been registered.
- On the box, go to Settings, then System settings, then Servers, then Portals.
- Put the portal address into Portal 1 URL and leave the name field as you like.
- Save, then restart the portal from the same menu.
- The channel list appears once the portal reloads.
MAG boxes are tied to their MAC address, so the box has to be registered before anything will load.
Enigma2 receivers such as Dreambox and VU+
- Find the receiver's local IP address in its network settings.
- Type that address into a browser on a computer on the same network to open the web interface.
- Upload your channel bouquet file, or install an IPTV plugin and point it at your playlist link.
- Reload the channel list from the receiver's menu.
- Restart the receiver's GUI so the new bouquet appears.
Enigma2 setups vary a lot between images and models. Message us on Telegram with your box model if the menu names differ from these.
Getting playback stable
Six changes that fix most buffering, in the order worth trying them.
Use a wired connection
An Ethernet cable from router to device removes Wi-Fi interference entirely. This is the single biggest fix for stuttering on live sport.
Switch to the 5 GHz band
If a cable is not possible, join the 5 GHz network rather than 2.4 GHz. Stay in the same room as the router where you can.
Stop competing downloads
Pause cloud backups, game updates and other streams on the same connection. They eat the bandwidth your stream needs.
Turn on hardware decoding
Most players have a hardware or HW decoder setting. It shifts work to the GPU and matters most on cheap Android boxes.
Raise the buffer
Set the player buffer to ten or fifteen seconds. You wait slightly longer when changing channel, and you stop dropping frames.
Try a VPN only if needed
Some internet providers slow video traffic. If everything else checks out and playback is still poor, test a nearby VPN server.
Common problems and what causes them
Check the cause column before you message us. It saves you a round trip.
| What you see | Most likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Login failed, 401 or 403 | Typing error, or the term has ended | Retype the username and password, remove stray spaces, check capital letters |
| Channel list is empty | Playlist has not finished downloading | Force a playlist refresh in app settings, then restart the app |
| Constant buffering | Local network, not the service | Go wired, raise the buffer, stop other downloads |
| No programme guide | Guide URL missing or not refreshed | Add the guide source in settings and trigger a manual refresh |
| One channel fails, others work | That source is temporarily down | Try again later, and report it on Telegram if it persists |
| Audio but no picture | Decoder mismatch on the device | Switch between hardware and software decoding in the app |
| MAG box shows portal not found | MAC address not registered | Send us the MAC address and wait for confirmation |

Installation questions
The questions our support channel gets most often.
Open the app store on your Samsung or LG television, install Smart IPTV or IPTV Smarters, then open the app and enter your IPTV Trends playlist link or Xtream Codes login. The channel list downloads and you are ready to watch. Full steps are in the Smart TV tab above.
Your access details are issued as soon as your payment clears. If they have not reached you within fifteen minutes, message us on Telegram with your order reference and we will resend them.
Choose Xtream Codes or XC login in your app, then enter the server address, the username and the password exactly as issued. If the app asks for a port separately, it is usually already part of the server address.
Yes. On a MAG box or an STB emulator, put the portal address into Settings, then System settings, then Servers, then Portals. Save it and reload the portal so the channel list populates. The box has to be registered against its MAC address first.
Buffering is nearly always the local connection. Use a wired connection or the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band, raise the buffer setting in your player to ten or fifteen seconds, stop other downloads on the network, and turn on hardware decoding in the app.
Almost always a typing error. Check for stray spaces at the start or end of the username, check capital letters, and make sure the server address is complete including any port number. If it still fails, your term may have ended.
Not usually. A VPN only helps if your internet provider slows down video traffic. Test playback without one first, and only add a VPN if streams are unstable in a way your connection speed does not explain.
Most apps have a refresh or reload option in settings for the playlist and the guide separately. If a refresh does not fix it, delete the profile and add it again with the same details.
