IPTV DNS settings: how to change DNS on every device
Change DNS on Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Samsung, LG, iPhone and your router to fix IPTV loading problems caused by DNS blocks or slow lookups.

Quick answer
Changing DNS can fix IPTV that will not load because of a DNS-based block or slow DNS. Set a public DNS such as 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 on the device's network settings or, for the whole home, on the router. Fire TV needs a static IP to set DNS.
On this page
DNS turns server names into addresses. If your provider's DNS is slow or blocks a server, the app cannot connect even though your internet works.
Where to change DNS
| Device | Path |
|---|---|
| Fire TV | Network, forget network, reconnect with Advanced, set a static IP and DNS |
| Android TV / Google TV | Network & Internet, your network, IP settings Static, DNS 1 and 2 |
| Apple TV | Settings, Network, Wi-Fi or Ethernet, Configure DNS, Manual |
| Samsung TV | Network Settings, IP Settings, DNS setting, Enter manually |
| LG TV | Network, your connection, Edit, uncheck Set automatically, DNS |
| Router | Admin page, WAN or DHCP DNS fields (applies to every device) |
Which DNS to use
Popular public DNS services include Cloudflare (1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1) and Google (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4). Use one pair as primary and secondary.
After the change
Restart the device and the app. If channels still fail, the block may not be DNS-based; see ISP blocking IPTV.
If none of this helps, message @host4k on Telegram with your device, app, the channel name and the exact error. That lets the team check the server side straight away.
