IPTV on Chromecast: cast or install
Two ways to watch IPTV with Chromecast: cast channels from a phone app, or install a player directly on Chromecast with Google TV. Steps and fixes.

Quick answer
With Chromecast with Google TV, install an IPTV player directly and use the remote. With an older Chromecast (no remote), open an IPTV app on your Android phone, start a channel and tap the Cast button. Your phone and Chromecast must be on the same Wi-Fi.
On this page
"Chromecast" covers two kinds of device: the older dongles that only receive casts, and Chromecast with Google TV, which runs apps itself.
Chromecast with Google TV
Install TiviMate or IPTV Smarters and log in: same steps as how to install IPTV on Google TV. This is the better experience.
Older Chromecast: casting
- Install an IPTV player with Cast support on your Android phone.
- Log in and start a channel.
- Tap the Cast icon and pick your Chromecast.
Some iPhone apps can cast too, but AirPlay is usually smoother on Apple devices.
Every app on this page asks for the same thing: either an Xtream Codes login (server address, username, password) or an M3U playlist link. IPTV Trends sends both as soon as your payment clears. If an app offers both, use the Xtream Codes login: it loads the channel groups and the TV guide together. See M3U vs Xtream Codes.
If casting fails
- Put the phone and Chromecast on the same Wi-Fi band.
- Turn off VPN on the phone while casting.
- Restart the Chromecast from the Google Home app.
