TiviMate backup and restore

Back up TiviMate playlists, favourites and settings and restore them on a new Fire TV or Android box, so you never set up from scratch again.

TiviMate Backup and Restore: Move Settings to a New Device

Quick answer

In TiviMate, go to Settings, General, Backup data to save a backup file, then copy it to the new device (USB, cloud or network). On the new device, install TiviMate, choose Restore data and pick the file. Playlists, favourites and settings return.

A backup saves you from rebuilding favourites when you change or reset a box.

Back up

  1. Open Settings > General.
  2. Choose Backup data and pick a location.
  3. Copy the file to a USB drive, cloud folder or network share.

Restore

  1. Install TiviMate on the new device.
  2. Copy the backup file onto it.
  3. Choose Restore data and select the file.
  4. Sign in to Premium again if you use it: TiviMate Companion app.
