On this page
401 and 403 are web server codes that IPTV apps show when the server says no. They are almost never a fault in your device.
What the codes mean
| Code | Meaning | Common causes |
|---|---|---|
| 401 Unauthorized | Login not accepted | Typo, wrong server, expired line |
| 403 Forbidden | Access refused | Too many screens, blocked IP or VPN, expired line |
Fixes
- Re-type the server, username and password. Copy them exactly, with no space at the end.
- Check the expiry date shown in the app's account info.
- Close the app on other devices; you may be over your screen limit.
- Set date and time to automatic on the device.
- Turn off VPN to test, or switch VPN server.
- Restart the router to get a fresh IP address.
If you renewed recently, log out and back in so the app picks up the new expiry. See renew IPTV subscription.
If none of this helps, message @host4k on Telegram with your device, app, the channel name and the exact error. That lets the team check the server side straight away.
