IPTV on a TCL TV: Google TV, Roku and Fire TV models
How to watch IPTV on a TCL smart TV. TCL Google TV sets install IPTV players directly; Roku models need a stick. Step-by-step for each.

Quick answer
TCL Google TV and Fire TV models install IPTV players such as TiviMate or IPTV Smarters directly, so you only need your login. TCL Roku TVs cannot run full IPTV players; plug in a Fire TV Stick or Google TV device instead.
On this page
TCL builds TVs on Google TV, Roku and Fire TV. The screen is the same quality either way, but the system decides whether you can install an IPTV player.
TCL Google TV and Android TV
- Press the Home button and open Search.
- Install TiviMate or IPTV Smarters.
- Open the player and enter your Xtream Codes login.
TCL's own TV inputs and picture modes still work while the app runs. Turn on Game mode only if you notice lag; it can soften the picture.
TCL Fire TV models
Follow the Fire TV steps in IPTV Trends Firestick guide: install Downloader, allow it under Install unknown apps, and install your player.
TCL Roku TV
Roku does not allow full IPTV players. A stick in a spare HDMI port is the simple fix; see IPTV on Roku.
Every app on this page asks for the same thing: either an Xtream Codes login (server address, username, password) or an M3U playlist link. IPTV Trends sends both as soon as your payment clears. If an app offers both, use the Xtream Codes login: it loads the channel groups and the TV guide together. See M3U vs Xtream Codes.
Picture settings for live TV
- Use the Standard or Movie picture mode, not Vivid.
- Turn motion smoothing down for news and up slightly for sport.
- If 4K channels stutter, check your speed with IPTV speed test.
